365/84: Humble Home

Today's photo was inspired by the Daily Shoot Assignment: Time to revisit a traditional photographic look. Make a black and white photo with high contrast today.  This is my house...I love the way the tree towers over it and then casts the shadow on the street.  Not sure I have the high contrast thing going on...but oh well.

365/75: Irish Chocolate Chip Cookies

On the Eve of St. Patrick's Day (no, I 'm not Irish) I baked my famous Irish Chocolate Chip Cookies- the green M&M's make them Irish...LOL- I love baking!  But tonight was a flop- every now and then you have those cookie FAILs....yep these look great here and even taste great according to my labs...but they baked as flat as pancakes- still taste good but I hate flat cookies- must have been the Irish baking soda...haha...

Rocket and Zoey drying out after a bath!  I love clean dogs!  Although, Zoey is known for rolling in the dirt right after she is bathed!  LOL.  It was a beautiful day today for being out in the yard!

Today was a great day for taking the dogs for a car ride, not to hot or too cold.  Zoey loves hanging out the car window.  As I stopped (yes I stopped) at a light I was able to capture this picture.

365/65: Palm Spring Energy Wind MIlls

I always have loved these windmills- the contrast of the steel against nature.  Did you know...the largest of these windmills stands 150 feet tall with blades half the legend of a football field. Today's ride home from Palm Springs was especially beautiful with the cloud filled skies.

I have an eccentric old man that lives next to me.  Whenever I have guest over, part of the tour is a peek over the fence into the neighbor's yard.  I joke that Sanford & Son live there.  Yes, I am dating myself with that one and if you have never heard of the TV show- google it!

My 4Runner is an awesome lab taxi....years ago- I got this license plate when I only had Rocket- but of course- not to hurt Zoey's feelings...I had to get the license plate frame including her...you know my dogs are very smart...LOL
