Never a dull moment on 20th Street.  Sunday morning...extra traffic due to Church and this red Jeep pulls a u-turn without looking and the white car just went crunch..poor girl in Jeep didn't even have a license...Ruh-Roh

Today's weather was amazing!  Earthquakes in Chile, Tsunami warnings in Hawaii and Los Angeles.....and just a good down pour in Orange County.  Here was a shot from my car around 6pm this evening.

365/53: Spring is in the Air

Today was a beautiful day!  The sun was shining and warm.  During a quick late afternoon break, I noticed these new blooms on the plum tree.  They were beautiful and a little earlier than normal.  The two bees (look closely) were also enjoying the nectar of the flowers....

I walk or run by this park almost everyday and always think these trees would be great trees to climb or just hang out in.  I am always surprised that they aren't more carved up...with initials and promises of love 4ever!  The sun was setting tonight and I loved the way it hit the trees....

365/47: Enjoying the Warm Day

This is Boston, my sister's dog...he is a great dog that loves to play with toys.  He flunked out of therapy school but has a really mild manner and is an overall good dog.  He is spending the week with us and loves hanging out at Camp Mishne!  Similar to Camp Snoopy...:)

365/46: A Flock of Flamingos

Had an incredible day at the San Diego Zoo today.  Great friends from NYC were in town, taking a break from the cold, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.  Among the almost 200 shots that I took, I chose this for today 365 because I really love how the flamingos stand around as if they are at a cocktail party..These three in front look like they are gossiping...made me laugh!

365/41: One of my Favorite Things to Do

Inspired by Today's Assignment from the Daily Shoot: We all have some sort of hobby or favorite activity. Make a photo that shows something you enjoy doing. This is called the Vault!  I work out here on Wednesday mornings at 5:30 am.  I actually love jumping over this huge log, it reminds me of the old days of jumping fences...lol. It is a great workout- would love to build this in my backyard...haha

365/40: Old School- Minus Hyperlinks

So I was at a school site today and as I walked through the office, I came across a huge cart filled with these.  This is all we had when I was in school and I remember the rich kids had a full set at home. I would actually go to the library to do reports and look up things in the Encyclopedia.  This one was published in 1973- 37 years old- but still roaming the halls of schools with outdated information and not hyperlinking.  I hope to see fewer and fewer of these artifacts or only in the museums where they belong. Just my two cents.

365/37: Play With Me

Although I love the rain, it makes my youngest lab a bit stir crazy.  On days like this, she finds every ball, rope, bone or toy in the house and drops them at my feet.  Although, we did sneak out for a run and played some ball, that is never enough for Miss Zoey.  This is one of her many, "play with me" faces.

365/36: Winter Formal

My beautiful niece ready for her first high school dance/winter formal.  Boy are things different than my days in HS.  All the parents gather at one house with the kids for pictures and I mean like 20 kids.  They eat dinner before getting picked up by the bus (limo bus) to go to Knotts Berry Farm in dresses and heels- and rain (bummer) and then there is the after party- at my sister's this year- that lasts until 2am (I think there is dancing in there somewhere). LOL.  It's fun to watch her grow up!

365/34: Men at Work

Early this morning, I hear the trucks pull up and out jump all these men!  I thought it's my lucky day!  12 men at work right outside my house...LOL

They were waiting for the tree guys to cut back the trees that were tangled in the electrical lines leading to mine and several neighbor's houses.

Then they pulled my power!  Arrrgghhhh- oh yeah that was the note I got last week about a "service interruption" - so I left and went to work. :)
