Apple would never allow this...a known issue (based on the number of websites, blog posts and Youtube videos describing the problem (Thanks LindaX and Greg)- yet Amazon chooses to only replace it (at my cost of $89.00) for a "refurbished" one. Not only do I have a Critical Battery- as the screen so kindly tells me- but after a little prying and 4 screws later- I pulled the battery out and the screen won't go away! So not only is my "battery" empty- theres isn't even one in the Kindle- so what is it operating on????? Perplexed and annoyed!
