Today’s Daily Shoot assignment : Challenge: Side lighting can emphasize texture and add depth to a photo. Make a dramatic photo with side lighting today. Took a one-to-one advanced digital photo class at Apple store today and learned lots about Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO and shooting in Raw...really enjoying learning the Aperture program as well. Wish I had better subjects for the day- but working on dissertation today....so this will have to do.

365/111: My Lucky Day!

This is what I woke up to this morning in my backyard!  I laughed at my reaction as I was sleepy-eyed and it was raining out...but I let out a little squeal and immediately ran for my camera!  LOL!  It was really breathtaking...I love rainbows!  Especially since they are not common around here...I think it is my lucky day!

So I am so NOT a fan of flash photography...but in my attempt to shoot at night...this is where my  muse led me....it is pitch black out and then this gorgeous pink!  Yes, that rose is growing in MY yard. :)

Skiing at Schweitzer with my niece and my sister.  This is our first time skiing together as adults (me and my sister) and also my first time skiing with my niece.  It was a great day on the mountain, hardly any people and it snowed the entire day!  The powder was awesome!  I love Idaho!

It is absolutely beautiful here!  Today was a relaxing day of exploration.  This was the view as we ran along the Bay.  The weather is gorgeous-we ran in shorts and tomorrow we will be skiing at Schweitzer Mountain!  Aaah vacation!
