365/31: He Shoots, He Scores
Went to my 13 year old nephew's BB game this morning! He is growing up so fast and officially WAY taller than me! He is the sweetest boy in the world and a great player, a fair player. That is him making the shot in the blue/yellow uniform. They won the game today! He is being looked at for All-Stars. I am a proud Aunt!

365/30: The Day After
The day after the first full moon of 2010 which they called the biggest and brightest full moon of the year. Some even call it a "supermoon." This was a really hard shot to take due to the lighting. I always struggle shooting photos in dark places. Need a class on this.

365/28: Online Learning
Today was another busy day that I didn't even get to pick up the camera. As I sat in the second of my two online classes tonight though- I thought this is the perfect shot- I teach in the Master-Learning Technologies program at Pepperdine and this is how my screen looks during class. The early class had 15 students on Skype without one dropped call! I heart technology and online learning!

365/27: Out for a Walk

365/25: Intersecting Lines or Not?
Ok..so I had a crazy busy day and realized I was running out of time to post this...so while it was inspired by the Daily Shoot: Right (90-degree) angles can help define a composition. Make a photograph involving intersecting lines.
These lines aren't exactly intersecting...parallel maybe? I hated Geometry! Ha!

365/23: Fire Engine No. 85
The strangest thing happened today. I was sitting on the couch, working when I heard a large truck stop outside. I looked out and parked across the street was this Fire Truck. Two cute "Men in Uniforms" got out and knocked on the neighbor's door. No answer. They walked in the backyard- came back out and left before I could even ask what was going on. I chalked it up to a "social visit" but who know- it works for my 365 Project.

365/22: Clouds in the Sky
It's hard to get away from the images of the skies with all this weather we are having! If I looked NW of my house the sky was black but when I looked West of it - I saw this!

365/21: Waiting Out the Rain
I know I have posted a similar picture- but after 4 days of rain, my little Zoey is anxiously awaiting a break. I loved the way the rain was coming down so hard on the windows as she watched from the coziness of her chair.

365/19: Mariners Park After the Rain
Today was crazy in the OC, we had a "tornado watch," thunder and lightning. Unfortunately, I was stuck inside teaching all day with no windows but I heard the thunder through the air vents.
After work, it cleared and I got to get the dogs out on a wet, muddy walk! This was taken with my iPhone (edited in iPhoto) of the field across from Mariners Elementary School.
The school is in the distance and the puddle to the right is actually the baseball diamond. Colors are brilliant!

365/18: Reflection After the Rain
It has rained for most of the day in Southern Cal - but around 3:30 there was a break so out I went with the camera. All my flower beds were flooded and this is a shot into the water with the reflection of the tree and sky. I love how the camera actually focused on the reflection and not the water.

365/15: East Coast Sunset
It's been a while since I have seen an East Coast sunset. I love the palm trees in this shot and I took it with my iPhone from the back of a car on a freeway.
Not bad. Still hanging out in Orlando, FLA.

365/11: One of My Favorite Colors
Inspired by Daily Shoot: What's your favorite color? Make a photo dominated by your favorite color today and share it!
Yellow is definitely a "happy" color. While I wouldn't dress in yellow, or own a yellow car...my 1930's cottage is painted yellow, I love yellow flowers and some of my favorite fruit is yellow....This hibiscus grows along my driveway.

365/10: Dog Day Afternoon
It was absolutely beautiful today in Southern California! The dogs got a long walk, a bath, and played lots of ball! They are sound asleep now as I type this....It was a great day! Rocket-Black Lab (almost 10) and Zoey-Chocolate lab (6 but acts more like 2).

365/9: The Morning Newspaper
Inspired by the Daily Shoot Assignment: The printed newspaper isn't as common as it used to be. Find a newspaper today and make a photo any way you like!
-Believe it or not, I still get the morning paper delivered. It is one thing I haven't been able to let go of. Do I read the paper everyday, hardly and I wish...but there is just something to going outside all sleepy eyed and in your PJ's to get the paper. You also never know quite where it will land each day, does it make it inside the fence? In the plants, in the grass, or in the only standing puddle that is left after the sprinklers go off? Today it was waiting outside the fence, yes waiting to be read...

365/8: The Last of the Holiday Glow
Tomorrow I am finally taking the lights down, the last of the Christmas "glow." I had forgotten to turn the lights on this week and was outside with the dogs and turned them on for one last night... With the sun just setting, my whole house just seemed to glow... I wonder if you can see this from the satellites..haha...Anyway, enjoying one last evening of the holiday "glow".

365/5:Sunset
I love the contrast here between the beauty of the sunset and the phone and electrical wires that line the skies of Costa Mesa...why they didn't plant these underground is beyond me...it was still a beautiful sunset!

365/4
Reminds me of a Fall day in Central Park, but it is actually a seasonably warm day in January in my backyard, Costa Mesa, California.
